Geopolitical analysis shaped by lived experience not think tank distance.

Fikr Institute was founded to provide strategic analysis of world affairs from a perspective that Western institutions cannot offer: that of people who have lived inside the conflicts they analyse, who understand the region's languages, cultures, and political dynamics from the inside.

The word Fikr means thought, reflection, and considered understanding. That is our mandate: to think carefully before we speak, to analyse before we conclude, and to speak clearly once we do.

We are not funded by governments, corporations, or lobbying groups. Our analysis serves one interest: accurate understanding.

Our Approach

Every analysis we publish follows a structured editorial framework: What Happened without spin. The Dominant Narrative what the mainstream is claiming. Strategic Reality what is actually driving events. Implications what comes next.

We do not seek balance for its own sake. We seek accuracy. Where the facts are clear, we say so. Where there is genuine uncertainty, we say that too.
