Analysis grounded in evidence, structured for clarity, and free from institutional capture.

Fikr Institute's methodology is built on three principles: direct knowledge of the regions we analyse, rigorous cross verification of sources, and a commitment to stating what we know and what we do not know.

Our Analytical Framework

1. What Happened

We begin with a factual account of events. No spin. No editorialising. Just the sequence of events as they can be verified from multiple sources, including on the ground reporting, official statements, and independent documentation.

2. The Dominant Narrative

We then examine how mainstream institutions, Western governments, and major media outlets are framing the same events. This reveals the interests, assumptions, and blind spots embedded in conventional analysis.

3. Strategic Reality

We analyse what is actually driving events beneath the surface: power dynamics, economic pressures, historical legacies, and the strategic calculations of all involved parties. This section draws on our team's direct experience and deep regional knowledge.

4. Implications

We conclude with what comes next. Not predictions, but reasoned assessments of probable trajectories, risks, and opportunities based on the strategic realities we have identified.

Source Standards

We use primary sources wherever possible: official documents, on the ground reporting, data from international bodies, and direct testimony. We cross verify claims from at least two independent sources before including them in our analysis. When we cite Western intelligence or media reports, we note their institutional biases.

We do not use anonymous sources. We do not rely on single source claims. Where information cannot be verified, we state that clearly.

Independence

Fikr Institute accepts no funding from governments, corporations, or political parties. Our analysis serves no interest other than accurate understanding. We disclose any potential conflicts of interest. Our team members write in their personal capacities, but all analysis undergoes internal review for factual accuracy and logical consistency.

Corrections Policy

We correct errors promptly and transparently. Any substantive correction is noted at the end of the article with the date and nature of the change. Readers can report errors to contact@fikr.institute.
